THE TECHNOLOGYThe CARGATE Tunnel technology utilizes ultrasound waves to detect leaks in automobile cabins and compartments. This technology replaces traditional leak testing, as with water booth testing. The operation is simple. The production line worker simply places a ultrasonic transmitter in the automobiles cabin as it passes through the CARGATE Tunnel's configuration. Within the CARGATE Tunnel's configuration, there are embedded ultrasonic transducers that scan the car as the car is slowly moved through the Tunnel, at plant line speeds. SYSTEM & DESIGNThe system scans the vehicle barcode and 'shakes hands' with the plant floor system to determine the model of the vehicle it will evaluate. The system can evaluate multiple models on one line. The CARGATE Tunnel system scans the 1024 unique quadrants on the car, allowing the CARGATE Tunnel System to pinpoint leak areas, and simultaneously report those leak areas to line workers and management with custom-designed software, specific to the auto model. The CARGATE Tunnel System collects data from these scans and creates illustrated and statistical reports that line workers and management can use to improve the cars design and production processes.

FEATURESNON-INVASIVEThe CARGATE does not contact the car and will not cause damage to automobile inventories. The CARGATE system utilizes ultrasound waves to detect leaks in autombile cabins and compartments. Ultrasound waves are inaudible high frequency waves that do not add to noise pollution in manufacturing environments and will not damage automobile interiors or electronics. The process of utilizing ultrasound waves eliminates the problem of damage often created by traditional water based leak testing. The CARGATE is safe and easy for auto line workers to operate. There are no moving parts to operate or maintain. REPORTING AND COLLECTIONReporting and Analysis Tools Line and Management Reports These reports help line workers easily identify the location of leaks and help them properly assess each car. EASE OF USEThe CARGATE simply uses a transmitter box inside the cabin of the car that emits ultrasound waves. The CARGATE contains ultrasonic transducers that scan the vehicle and monitors 1024 unique quadrants of an automobile, allowing CARGATE to pinpoint leak areas and report those leaks accurately to line workers and management. The CARGATE system collects data and generates illustrations and analysis reports to help management analyze design and manufacturing practices that may be deficient or need improvement.
